requested the Secretary of State's Telegram of the 22 June, referring to the Public Health Ordinance, before the Council.
It appears that the Sanitary Board, whilst submitting the Draft Ordinance to the Government in December last, and recommending certain areas of spaces to be left about dwelling houses, nevertheless felt that the surrender of such spaces would be at the sacrifice of a great deal of building area, and what compensation perhaps might be required to be given to private property owners in case of reconstruction.
